Cape Town - The Mother City of South Africa
Cape Town is one of the oldest cities in South Africa and in many ways the most beautiful. Our visitors are overwhelmed by the sight of the city: from the houses that wind up in protection of the slopes of Table Mountain - which in summer is often provided with a tablecloth of clouds - to the maritime atmosphere. Cape Town has more than four million inhabitants and the city lives mainly from the port and from tourism.
The 2010 World Cup which was held here impressed through it's great hospitality and good organization. Proudly South African, it managed to change the minds of many critics of this country and the people of this Rainbow Nation were once again brought together a little closer.
Another milestone for the future which we are very excited about is that Cape Town has won the selection to the World Design Capital in 2014. This will surely attract even more eyes on this city at the foot of the mountain.
Our love for Cape Town is not only because we can live our passion for water sports but also because of it's great diversity - not only culturally but also in many other respects. In one second you feel Africa's vibe, in the next you think you are in Europe.
The nature is amazing and has something special to offer for everyone. Whether it's to chill at deserted beaches or to explore the single tracks of wineries by bike, climb Table Mountain or simply to enjoy the sea with us.
The Cape Region with over 20 wave spots has long established itself as a wave mecca beyond Hawaii.
